End of Session is Near

Posted on June 19, 2009

The end of the session is almost upon us. I have heard from hundreds of residents about dozens of issues. The legislature has seen more than 2500 bills introduced and almost all of them debated in committee. Eventually, after careful examination a small percentage of these bills has passed through both chambers. Most of the legislation reaching the governor's desk has little opposition; however certain issues remain contentious.

I am proud the accomplishments of our legislature. While I have not agreed with all of the results and many difficult votes remain, know that I work every day to be a better representative for you. Each time you contact me, I will listen to your concerns. Your emails and phone calls inform my views which allows me to better represent yours.

Upcoming coffees and events will allow me to meet you in person. I look forward to seeing you.
