A Community Conversation on Public Safety and Consumer Protection
CLACKAMAS - Representative Brent Barton (D- Clackamas) and Oregon Attorney General John Kroger will be hosting a town hall in the Clackamas High School Library on Saturday, June 12, at 10:00 AM. The focus will be on public safety and consumer protection.
Barton served on both the Judiciary and Consumer Protection Committees during the last legislative session. Additionally, he was appointed to serve on the Oregon Criminal Justice Commission in 2009.
Barton expressed his appreciation of constituents’ willingness to share their concerns and ideas in town hall forums. Community members are encouraged to bring questions to help create a broad-reaching discussion.
“I always look forward to hearing from my constituents,” Barton said. “Their input shapes how bills actually become law, and can often bring up creative ideas that legislators don’t normally have insight on.”
The town hall will last until 11:30. Both Kroger and Barton will give presentations, followed by a question and answer time.
